Markus – The Tireless One
Running 100 kilometres in one go takes more than endurance. It takes discipline, focus, and the will to keep going long after others have stopped.
These are the very same qualities that Markus brings to Wascosa's IT team every day. It is he and his team, who are constantly developing our software solutions and who make sure that our systems run reliably. New requirements are what he thrives on! No matter how complex the task, he turns challenging requirements into fully operational solutions.
Markus is not one to stand still - neither in sport, nor at work. After a day in the office, he regularly runs the 30 kilometres back home, simply because movement is part of who he is.
This rebel is living proof that achieving great things takes staying power.
Kathrin – The Networker
The best connections don't happen by themselves – they're made by people.
Kathrin knows exactly how to build relationships and keep them strong. In her internal sales role, she makes sure that wagon orders, contracts, and contract renewals run smoothly. At the same time, she builds trust and turns those initial contacts into long-term partnerships.
Maybe it's her Cologne roots but with her open, warm, and direct approach, she wins people over quickly – whether it’s in a personal conversation or in everyday business.

Serghei – The Trailblazer
The best solutions come from seeing the big picture.
That's exactly what sets Serghei apart. As a Data Scientist at Wascosa, he's building a future-proof data architecture that makes information available wherever it's needed – securely, efficiently, and in line with all compliance requirements. In doing so, he's laying the groundwork for Wascosa to harness the potential of artificial intelligence responsibly.
He likes to stay active in his free time, too. His favourite way to explore nature is by bike, where he finds the calm and the fresh perspectives that also drive him in his day-to-day work.
A rebel who shows that shaping the future takes vision – and the courage to take new paths.
Sonja – The Obstacle Conqueror
In Wascosa's Fleet Management team, Sonja makes sure that when they return, freight wagons are back in service quickly. To make this happen, she works closely with workshops, storage-site operators, and our sales department, managing numerous processes so that she can find the right solution even under time pressure. Because when a wagon is needed, every step counts.
She lives out this same mindset in her free time, too. As a passionate Ninja Warrior athlete, she does balance, coordination, strength, and endurance training several times a week – always with the goal of overcoming the next obstacle. What began as a gift from her husband has since taken her all the way to national and international competitions and even to the starting line of Ninja Warrior Germany.
For Sonja, giving up is never an option. Whether she's navigating an obstacle course or working at Wascosa, she stays focused, thinks ahead, and rises to every challenge.
Ege – The Problem Solver
The best IT problems are the ones nobody ever notices.
That's thanks to Ege. In Wascosa's IT team, he looks after the technical infrastructure, sets up new workstations, and is on hand whenever support is needed Fast and straightforward, he is always focused on finding solutions.
But this mindset doesn't disappear at the end of the workday. Whether it’s family or friends, Ege is always the first person that people turn to when it comes to technical questions.
A rebel who would rather create solutions than explain problems.
Silvan – The Team Player
No football match is won alone.
The same goes for Silvan. As part of the Investment, Financing & Treasury team, he calculates rental prices for new build projects, ensuring that profitability aligns perfectly with market demands. That takes precision but above all, good teamwork with other departments.
That's exactly what football taught him, too. As a defender, he knew when it was time to step up, take responsibility, and protect his team. Today, he brings that same mindset to Wascosa, working closely with his colleagues and keeping his eyes on the shared goal.
A rebel who knows that the best results are achieved as a team.
Anna – The Pacesetter
Sustainability is like a good dance: every step counts.
Anna is responsible for sustainability management at Wascosa, combining ESG expertise with sales experience. She thinks strategically, acts pragmatically, and knows exactly when the moment is right to drive change.
As a dancer in Germany’s top national league, she learned how to keep the rhythm, think ahead, and master even the most complex choreography with confidence.
"There's no such thing as can't" is more than a motto for her – it describes her attitude both at work and in her private life.
